Now that fashion week has finished in London, having already got underway in Milan, it's time to review the week that was and check out the biggest Autumn Winter 2017 trends. Big Sleeves
We saw voluminous sleeves over in New York last week, but here in London they got even bigger. Don't be afraid to take the volume up a notch with ballooning bold sleeves for the most stylish silhouette in AW17.


Big Knits & Duvet Coats
It is the coldest time of the year, and so this AW17 is all about those big chunky layers to keep you warm. Oversized abstract duvet coats will mean you feel all wrapped up in the comfort of your own quilt even away from home. Whilst big bold knitwear will offer lots of opportunities to layer stylish textures within your winter wardrobe.


Socks
Keeping the with the warm Winter theme above, get ready for a stylish revival of the oldest fashion faux pas - socks and sandals. Whether working edgy flat sandals or chic high heels, keep those toes warm all winter long with a pair of high quality socks.


Prim and Proper
Keeping with the victoriana / 'Little House on the Parie' influence we are seeing for SS17, high neck lines, pussy bows, long sleeves and ankle skimming lengths will continue to be common design details throughout 2017.


Rolling Ruffles
As we noted during New York Fashion Week, ruffles are here to stay in 2017. Looser, less constructed and subtle frills are a key trend in AW17. So stock up on ruffled pieces for Spring, that will see you into Autumn Winter 2017 in style as well.


Metallic Shimmers
Again, a key trend from NYFW - metallics. But on the catwalks of London, we saw many more opportunities to functionally incorporate sequins and metallic tones into your day to day look. All the while combining 80s style shine with the more feminine trends of the season including ruffles, sheer sleeves and cosy knits. Or just go all out Ashish style and take on the slogan tee trend, sequin style.
