Glastonbury has come around once more. Now that Summer has officially started (ignoring the odd rain shower of course), Glastonbury festival marks the highlight of Summer for so many.

As hundreds of thousands of revellers make the pilgrimage to Worthy Farm, will you be joining them?

Without a doubt, with over 100 stages across the site, Glastonbury festival certainly have a huge range of acts, artists and music scheduled. This year, with PJ Harvey, Ronnie Spector, Cyndi Lauper, MØ and ELO on the bill it's looking to be a goodie.

Beth Jeans Houghton is back. But now as Du Blonde, and she isn't pulling any punches. Having released her album earlier this year, we're excited to see where this punkier, more abstract version of Houghton is going to take us. Buckle up.

This weekend we are wishing we were at the Isle of Wight festival. Kicking back listening to one of the greatest bands ever - Fleetwood Mac. With the group including Stevie Nicks reunited with Christine McVie too, we're looking forward to see this performance from the two Fleetwood Mac ladies for the first time in decades.
So to get us in the spirit for the weekend, we've got some Fleetwood Mac on the playlist in the office.

Add some Stevie vibes to your weekend and take a listen to some of our top Fleetwood Mac songs in the run up to their performance at the Isle of Wight.

This weekend, as the weather gets warmer, London's summer season of festivals kicks off. Field Day was on our festival wish list for this 2015, and now it has arrived.

Wondering what to wear? Well, with this city festival there is no camping, no mud and no need for wellies.... so you have the freedom to bring your festival fashion game in full.

It's all about layering up for everything the Great British weather could bring. Team the festival favourite crop top with a pair of dungarees or a lace tee with some vintage denim shorts. Accessorise with round sunnies, some chunky lace up shoes and get your get your summer festival schedule off to a stylish start.

With the long weekend wrapping up, we're taking some time to lay back and recoup. Seeing us through are the sweet vocals of Nico. The German songstress / model who caught the eye of Andy Warhol back in the swinging sixties and quickly became one of Warhol's superstar icons of the decade.

Take a run through a little sample of tunes from Nico and the Velvet Underground to help recover from the long weekend and ease you back into the week.

So Queen Bey has just dropped two new tracks in time for the weekend to begin.

We're all aware that Beyoncé can do whatever the hell she wants and this time she wanted to get her groove on in some interesting grey y-fronts on a hotel balcony. The video for '7/11' has a handmade quality to it, flitting back and forth, dancing in varies rooms of a huge hotel suite (including one room decorated for Christmas with Beyoncé sized presents around the tree) and a lot of costume changes.

Check out the video below and get practising some of her moves ready for the hitting the dance floor with the girls this weekend.

The second track released is a lot more laid back and is sure to re-fuel those divorce rumours however, many believe it to be about her parents divorce rather than her own relationship. 'Ring Off' is the kind of track to soothe you through the weekend after some serious Beyoncé based dance-offs.

This weekend just got a whole lot more fierce.

We've discovered our new favourite handout in London. Drink Shop & Do, based in Kings Cross, is a creative hub of coffee, cocktails, themed nights and general fun times.

Our favourite night on their busy schedule has to the Lionel Rich Tea evenings, where you simply pipe your best Lionel Richie portrait onto a Rich Tea biscuit. The winner wins a prize, but if your Lionel masterpiece doesn't cut it in the judging process, you still get to eat a rich tea biscuit. So win win.

Or if you're looking for something a little more energetic, take the Beyonce Single Ladies Dance Class to learn the famous routine and leave you humming "If you liked it then you should've put a ring on it" for days afterwards.

But in the spirit of the season Pumpkin Carving is a must. Free pumpkin with a halloween cocktail - what more could you ask for.

In case you haven't noticed, London Cocktail Week is in full swing. But the fun ends this weekend, so get your cocktail fix in whilst you can. With so much on offer to experience at LCW it can be hard to choose where to head first this weekend.

We really recommend The Silver Screen Drinkorium! A pop-up bar paying tribute to the silver screen and surreal cinematography whilst you get to unwind with an endless choice of contemporary and classic cocktails. With piano music playing in the background, sip expertly made cocktails for just £4 (with your LCW wristband) which is practically unheard of in central London, what isn't there to love!

The incredible looking cocktails filling our Instagram feed this week has certainly given us a thirst for some fruity cocktail refreshments now that the weekend has finally arrived.

We seriously have that Friday feeling and so we are spending the day listening to some of our favourite tunes to get us ready for the weekend.

Featuring heavily on the NAVY stereo today, the Eurythmics are proving to be a popular choice and are bring those Friday vibes to the studio. Queen of androgynous dressing and avant-garde cool, Annie Lennox is one of the most recognisable women in the world of pop since the early 80s. Lennox has long been pushing the boundaries of fashion, culture and important social issues. And has a seriously amazing voice too! Safe to say we're all wishing we could be as cool as Annie Lennox in the NAVY studio today.

So. Who else is looking forward to the weekend?

You may have seen that last week we were lucky enough to enjoy an erratic and high energy performance from the queen of 90s grunge, Courtney Love. She brought out the inner punk of the NAVY team!

We’ve put together a rocking awesome playlist to get us pumping for the long weekend to begin. It has to, of course, contain a cheeky bit of Courtney. As well as some out our 2014 festival must-sees Wolf Alice, Warpaint and more! So keep it on repeat you NAVY dolls and welcome in the weekend.
