Love her or loath her, Courtney Love is an icon of the 90s grunge scene. After spending our Sunday listening to her be as outspoken and honest as ever on BBC 6 Music for The First Time With... we've been having a Courtney kinda day in the NAVY office.

Whether you heard the interview with or not, spend your day listening to some of the best songs by or inspired by Courtney and channel your inner punk queen too!

So. Who else is looking forward to the weekend?

You may have seen that last week we were lucky enough to enjoy an erratic and high energy performance from the queen of 90s grunge, Courtney Love. She brought out the inner punk of the NAVY team!

We’ve put together a rocking awesome playlist to get us pumping for the long weekend to begin. It has to, of course, contain a cheeky bit of Courtney. As well as some out our 2014 festival must-sees Wolf Alice, Warpaint and more! So keep it on repeat you NAVY dolls and welcome in the weekend.

As you guys are probably aware by now, we love the rock queen that is Courtney Love. So when we heard she was going on a UK tour we knew we had to be there!

For one glorious evening last week, we got to bask in the eccentric and wonderful energy that only Courtney Love can create. There was no big stage get up or novelty build up to her tour, just one woman, commanding the whole room with some deliciously unhinged punk, nostalgic teenage angst and plenty of good old fashioned swearing.
Proving that this 90s icon hasn’t mellowed over time, she looked like a total babe rocking some grunged up black dresses, chic ankle boots and tones of attitude!

Playing some of the good old favourites, mixed in with some Hole classics and of course her awesome latest tune, ‘You Know My Name’.
Without a doubt, an evening which we won’t be forgetting in a hurry. Go Courtney!

At NAVY, we are a huge fan of 90s grunge icon Courtney Love. A bad-ass babe who’s unique style is synonymous with her rockstar lifestyle and don’t care attitude.

We’re excited by the recent news of her reunion with Hole and with ‘You Know My Name’ set to be released in a few days, we wanted to take a look back down memory lane and get inspired by the babe that is Courtney Love.
“My name’s Courtney. Shake my damn hand."
