NAVY London Blog: 6 Music
- All Post
Sparks is the latest offering from Beach House's long anticipated new album. This dream pop tune gives us Twin Peaks kind of vibes, and that is never a bad thing.
Rounding up the week and seeing us through the weekend, it's all we're playing at NAVY studios.
Over the weekend Kim Gordon took over Iggy Pop's reqular slot on 6 Music to bring a playlist full of Nirvana, Yoko Ono, The Carpenters and of course, Sonic Youth. As well as speaking about growing up in Los Angeles, falling in love with New York Kim, Kim spoke about her rise through the city's punk scene, Nu Wave, and Seattle Grunge scene
If you missed her Friday night slot, you can catch up with the whole show here for the next few days.
Love her or loath her, Courtney Love is an icon of the 90s grunge scene. After spending our Sunday listening to her be as outspoken and honest as ever on BBC 6 Music for The First Time With... we've been having a Courtney kinda day in the NAVY office.
Whether you heard the interview with or not, spend your day listening to some of the best songs by or inspired by Courtney and channel your inner punk queen too!
All about dreamy bohemian dressing mixed with a quintessentially rock & roll attitude. Available from Zalando & Topshop, Oxford Circus.
NAVY London was created in 2006 by stylist Greg Lang.
